Data Centre
Facility Location
Our data centre provider is based a stones throw away from the Flint offices in Reading, Berkshire. The DC houses 5,000sq ft
of high-quality server space.
Network Infrastructure
The internal network is fully redundant from the boarder routers to the final switch. We have over 32Gbps of core
switching capacity meaning all servers have unrestricted 100Mb access.
The DC takes advantage of multiple connections, three independant 100Mbps and 1000Mbps circuits connect the main datacentre
to diverse POPs, and an additional backup connection to our DR site. You can view full details on our network here.
Temperature Control
Temperature and humidity are controlled by our HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) systems and are N+1 redundant,
meaning even in the event of a failure, additional systems are on standby to continue the control of the data centre
environment. All air conditioning is vented under the floor and released through floor grills. Unlike many data centres, we
have cooling coils present in the ceiling void which remove hot air and cool it using a chilled water system returning it to
the room at the correct temperature. This unique system avoids the build-up of 'hot spots' which occur in some data centres.

Security
Security is paramount to our operation as we have many mission critical and expensive equipment in both our data centres. Our
primary site benefits from a high-tech CCTV and access control systems. 24/7 Security guards constantly patrol both sites to
maintain an onsite 'presence' and both buildings are protected by full scale RedCare GSM alarm systems, linked directly to the
police. Full proximity card access at our primary site protects the locking systems, and security code locks protect the DR
site.

Power
Power to the building is supplied via an independent sub-station provisioned by Southern Electric. The power is conditioned
through our UPS backup systems, and backed up by our N+1 class onsite generators. In unlikely event of a power cut, our site
can maintain power via these backup generators for over 72 hours.
